Bio
Recruited from Ulverstone in Tasmania, Kerry Good was a high-leaping forward whose promising career was defined by a single, controversial moment and ultimately cut short by injury. He etched his name into North Melbourne folklore during the 1980 Night Grand Final against Collingwood, where he marked and kicked the winning goal after the final siren had sounded but gone unheard by the field umpire. Capable of dominance on his day, Good booted a career-best ten goals against Melbourne in 1981 and averaged better than two goals a game, but persistent fitness issues forced him out of the senior side by age 24. He moved to Essendon for the 1985 season but failed to add to his game tally, retiring as a talented target who later served the Kangaroos off-field as a board member.
