Bio
Recruited from Tocumwal in the Murray Football League, Kerry Rattray arrived at Melbourne during the club's formidable era under legendary coach Norm Smith. A versatile player who typically operated as a half-forward or on the wing, he made his debut in 1962 but found it difficult to command a regular spot in a lineup stacked with premiership stars. Rattray served as a depth player for the Demons over five seasons, notably making six appearances during the club's successful 1964 campaign, although he did not feature in the finals series. After struggling to break out of the reserves on a consistent basis, he left the VFL following the 1966 season to join Yarrawonga in the Ovens and Murray Football League.
