Bio
Arriving in Victoria with a glowing reputation as a WAFL premiership player and Western Australian state representative from West Perth, Kevin Clarke’s transition to the VFL was initially stalled by league bureaucracy. Though signed by Melbourne in 1955, his time with the Demons was restricted to a single senior appearance due to a dispute over residential qualifications that rendered him ineligible for regular selection. He subsequently found a permanent home at Carlton, where he became a reliable contributor as a ruckman and forward, using his 191cm frame to support the Blues' key position stocks. Clarke played 57 games at Princes Park between 1956 and 1959, offering a steady hand in the contest before eventually departing to join Sorrento in the Mornington Peninsula league.
