Bio
Recruited from Carnegie, Kevin Colls was a solid defender whose time at the top level was significantly interrupted by military service during the Second World War. He broke into the Richmond senior side in 1942, playing primarily as a back pocket, but his career was put on hold while he served in the Army between 1943 and 1945. Upon his return to Punt Road, Colls found it difficult to command a regular position in a strong Tigers lineup, managing only a handful of senior games while serving as a consistent contributor in the reserves. Seeking greater opportunity, he transferred to Prahran in the VFA in 1948, where he established a successful second act to his career, playing over 100 games and featuring as a key member of the Two Blues' 1951 premiership team.
