Stats
Bio
Recruited from Robinvale in the Mallee region, Kevin Curran was a powerfully built key forward who burst onto the scene during the war-affected 1943 season. He made an immediate impact by booting four goals on debut against Melbourne and established himself as a potent scoring threat, averaging nearly two goals a game during his short senior career. While he struggled to cement a permanent spot in the formidable Tiger lineup of the era—playing just 16 senior games over three seasons—he was a dominant force at the lower level, once kicking 12 goals in a reserves match and featuring in the club's 1946 reserves premiership side. Curran eventually returned to country football to coach Ballarat and his native Robinvale, though his family connection to Punt Road continued when his son, Pat, played senior football for Richmond in 1968.
