Bio
Recruited from North Reservoir, Kevin Ellis entered the VFL as a teenager during a bleak period for the Fitzroy Football Club in 1963. Standing 178cm, the light-framed flanker was granted an opportunity late in a season where the Lions managed just one win and claimed the wooden spoon. He played four matches and kicked a solitary goal as the club trialled youth in a bid to rebuild, but Ellis could not secure a long-term tenure at the Brunswick Street Oval and departed the senior scene after his single season.
