Kevin Heath was a speedy and tenacious back pocket who carved out a distinguished career across two powerhouse Victorian clubs. Emerging at Hawthorn in the late 1960s, he utilised his pace and disciplined checking to nullify opposition rovers, establishing himself as a fixture in the Hawks' defence. His stint at Glenferrie Oval was highlighted by a key role in the 1971 premiership side, but after 140 games in brown and gold, he transferred to Carlton prior to the 1976 season to extend his career in a new environment.

The move to Princes Park proved to be a masterstroke, as Heath seamlessly integrated into the Blues' backline during a successful era for the club. He brought vital experience and defensive stability to the team, culminating in a second premiership medallion during Carlton's famous 1979 Grand Final victory over Collingwood. Heath retired in 1981 as a rare dual-club premiership player, recognised for his durability and his ability to perform consistently in high-pressure defensive roles over a 14-season journey.
