Bio
Recruited from Westmeadows, Kevin McGuire was a defensive utility who spent five seasons striving to break into a star-studded North Melbourne side. Joining the club in the wake of the Kangaroos' 1970s golden era, the 185cm defender faced immense competition for a spot in the backline against established premiership stars. Despite his perseverance and ability to play on opponents of varying sizes, McGuire was largely resigned to the fringe of selection, managing just 18 senior games scattered across five years before departing Arden Street at the end of the 1985 season.
