Stats
Bio
A product of the Hawthorn Colts, Kevin Northcote was a local junior who debuted as a teenager in the middle of the 1956 season. Standing 175cm, he was a small forward and rover capable of hitting the scoreboard—evidenced by his return of five goals in eight games during 1959—but he struggled to command a permanent spot in a Hawks lineup that was steadily building toward its first premiership era. Finding opportunities limited as the club's depth improved, Northcote departed the VFL at the end of 1959 aged just 21. He subsequently became a well-travelled figure in regional football, playing for Rupanyup, West Gambier, and Moe before crossing the Bass Strait to finish his career with Launceston in the NTFA.
