Bio
Recruited from St Kilda's reserves, Kevin Oakley found his path to senior football blocked by the formidable depth of the Saints' eventual premiership squad. Seeking greater opportunity, the rover crossed to Fitzroy for the 1966 VFL season, where he successfully broke into the senior lineup. He made ten appearances for the Lions that year, serving as a nimble ball-winner who could rotate forward, kicking his solitary career goal during a Round 8 loss to Richmond. Despite establishing a brief foothold in the team, Oakley was unable to secure a long-term position on the list and departed the VFL landscape following the conclusion of his single season at the Brunswick Street Oval.
