Bio
Recruited from Colac in country Victoria, Kevin Parker was a utility player who found a home at South Melbourne during the mid-1960s. Although initially identified as a wingman upon his arrival at the Lake Oval, he primarily operated as a rover or back pocket at senior level. He bided his time in the reserves before breaking into the firsts, eventually making his debut midway through the 1964 season against Hawthorn. A serviceable defensive rotation option in a side heavily reliant on superstar captain Bob Skilton, Parker managed 20 games over three years. He struggled to cement a permanent spot in the starting lineup and departed the VFL scene following the 1966 season without registering a career goal.
