Bio
Recruited from West Newport, Kevin Pedrotti arrived at the Lakeside Oval as a precocious talent, making his senior debut for South Melbourne in 1965 at the tender age of 17. Standing 183cm—a height that allowed him to operate as a versatile tall defender or utility in that era—he was a defensive-minded player who failed to trouble the scorers throughout his brief VFL tenure. Despite breaking into the senior side while still a teenager, Pedrotti struggled to cement a regular spot in a Swans lineup that was heavily reliant on captain Bob Skilton, managing only sporadic appearances across four seasons. He played his final game for the club in 1968, departing the league shortly after turning 20 and leaving behind a career defined by an exceptionally early start rather than sustained impact.
