Stats
Bio
A diminutive rover recruited from New Town in Tasmania, Lance Cox arrived at Richmond in 1954 as a talented interstate prospect. Standing just 169cm, he struggled to cement a regular spot in the senior lineup, managing only seven games across two seasons at Punt Road without registering a goal. While his senior opportunities were limited, Cox proved to be a pivotal figure in the club's depth, playing a key role in Richmond's back-to-back reserves premiership triumphs in 1954 and 1955. He eventually departed the VFL to join South Adelaide before returning to the Apple Isle, where he carved out a remarkably durable career spanning more than 400 games in state and local leagues.
