Bio
Recruited from Hampton Scouts after a decorated junior run that included captaining the Victorian Schoolboys, Larry Rowe arrived at Richmond as a versatile utility capable of playing across multiple lines. Despite his pedigree and a solid 182cm frame, he struggled to cement a permanent position in the Tigers' senior lineup, managing just 20 games as a fringe player across four seasons at Punt Road. His true football legacy was written in the VFA, where he crossed to Brighton-Caulfield (later Caulfield) in 1963 and blossomed into a genuine star. Rowe captained the club for five seasons and won the 1967 Jack Field Medal as the best and fairest player in the VFA Second Division, proving himself a dominant semi-professional figure before retiring at just 27 to focus on his career.
