Stats
Bio
Recruited from South Fremantle as a mature-age prospect with pick 48 in the 1998 National Draft, Laurie Bellotti was brought into the West Coast setup to add defensive steel to the squad. A disciplined back pocket and tagger, he relied on a close-checking style to nullify opposition small forwards, often sacrificing his own offensive output to limit his direct opponent. He managed 24 appearances across two seasons, including finals experience during his debut year, but faced stiff competition for a permanent spot in the Eagles' backline. Bellotti was ultimately delisted at the conclusion of the 2000 season, returning to the WAFL where he continued a decorated state-league career with the Bulldogs.
