Bio
Born in Kincardine, Scotland, Laurie Ogilvie developed his football craft in Victoria through the Scotch College program and VFA club Williamstown. He was recruited to Melbourne midway through the 1901 season, making his debut in a Round 6 victory over Carlton at the MCG. Despite his tenure at the top level lasting just a single month, Ogilvie proved to be a capable avenue to goal, managing to kick a major in three of his four senior appearances. He played four consecutive matches for the club before falling out of the side, leaving the VFL with a short but effective scoring record.
