Stats
Bio
Recruited from local feeder club Sunshine YCW, Laurie Walsh was a lightly-built utility who earned his opportunity with Footscray during the 1967 season. Handed the number 41 guernsey, he broke into the senior side for the opening round, making his debut on a massive stage against Collingwood at the MCG. Standing 177cm but weighing just 68kg, Walsh held his spot for the first three weeks of the season—including a home fixture against Melbourne and a final appearance against North Melbourne where he registered his only career goal. Despite the promising start to the year, he was omitted following Round 3 and did not feature at VFL level again, finishing his brief tenure at the Western Oval with three senior games.
