Bio
Recruited from North Hobart with the weight of expectation that comes with a top-ten draft selection, Leigh Brockman arrived at Geelong as a highly rated key position prospect in 1996. His stint at Kardinia Park was unfortunately defined by persistent injury setbacks, restricting the 193cm talent to just two senior appearances before he was cut loose. Thrown a lifeline by the Sydney Swans in the 2000 Rookie Draft, Brockman spent two seasons toiling in the reserves before finally earning a consistent run in the senior side in 2002. Utilised as a tall defender, he managed ten games in the Swans' backline that season but was unable to cement a permanent spot, eventually departing the AFL to continue his football journey with Glenelg in the SANFL.
