Stats
Bio
Recruited from Claremont as a foundation selection, Leigh Wardell-Johnson was a local WAFL talent added to Fremantle’s inaugural list ahead of the 1995 season. Operating primarily as a half-forward, he debuted in Round 2 against Essendon at the WACA and showed an ability to hit the scoreboard, booting 10 goals across his 11 senior appearances. Despite a promising start where he averaged nearly a goal a game, his AFL tenure was limited to that single historic campaign before he returned to the state league. He remains a significant figure in the club's history as one of the original Dockers, a legacy recently revisited when his son Hamish emerged in the WAFL talent pathways.
