Bio
Recruited from East Perth with pick 48 in the 1992 National Draft, Leigh Willison was a mature-age half-forward who arrived at Kardinia Park hoping to add depth to a potent Geelong attack. He made his debut in the second round of the 1993 season and showed immediate promise the following week, booting three goals against Sydney at the SCG. However, Willison faced the unenviable task of competing for a spot alongside club icons Gary Ablett Snr and Billy Brownless during a year the Cats reached the Grand Final. Unable to maintain his place in such a competitive lineup, he was delisted after just one season and returned to Western Australia to resume his career in the WAFL.
