Bio
Recruited from West Footscray, Len Cumming entered the VFL carrying the weight of a famous club name as the nephew of legendary Bulldogs captain John Cumming. Standing just 169cm, he was a roving specialist who debuted as an eighteen-year-old in 1967, utilising his low centre of gravity and agility to win possession around the packs. While he managed to hit the scoreboard periodically, Cumming found it difficult to secure a permanent role in the senior side, playing largely as a fringe footballer who shuffled between the firsts and the reserves over his three-year tenure. His time at the elite level concluded after the 1969 season, ending a brief stint that extended the Cumming family's dynasty at the Western Oval to another generation.
