Bio
Recruited from Merbein to join his younger brother Hassa at the Melbourne Football Club, Len Mann was a ruckman who carved out a role during the Demons' formidable Norm Smith era. Standing at 193cm, he experienced the ultimate success in his debut season, playing 18 games in 1960 and earning a premiership medallion as part of the side that stifled Collingwood in the Grand Final. Primarily utilised as a second ruckman or resting defender, Mann was a serviceable structural player whose career was somewhat limited by the immense depth of the Melbourne list at the time. He played his final game in 1964, finishing his VFL tenure with 46 appearances and a flag to his credit.
