Bio
Arriving at Princes Park via a circuitous route that included stints with North Melbourne in the VFA and the Imperials in Western Australia, Len Morrison added valuable experience to a Carlton side struggling to find its feet in the infant VFL competition. Recruited in 1898 after his WA club disbanded, Morrison was a durable utility who featured regularly for the Blues during a bleak on-field era, though he is perhaps best remembered for a mishap in 1899 where he and teammate Pat Considine missed the team train to Geelong and were left stranded on the North Melbourne platform while the side was forced to play shorthanded. He provided steady service over five seasons without ever tasting finals success, eventually departing in 1902 to return to the VFA with North Melbourne.
