Stats
Bio
Arriving at Glenferrie Oval from East Malvern, Len Walsh was a physically imposing key position prospect who stood 189cm—a significant height for the era. Utilised primarily as a tall forward and relief ruckman, he demonstrated a capable eye for the big sticks with a respectable strike rate of nearly a goal a game. However, his career was defined by its stop-start nature, managing three distinct, brief stints in the seniors spread across six years amidst the broader disruptions of the Second World War. Ultimately, Walsh remained a fringe player for the struggling Mayblooms, unable to convert his obvious physical attributes into a permanent spot in the side before finishing his VFL tenure in 1942.
