Stats
Bio
Recruited from Camperdown in the Hampden Football League, Len White was a disciplined defender who made an immediate impression during a brief VFL career. Arriving at Geelong in 1947, he slotted into the half-back line and quickly adapted to the league's tempo, earning the club's Best First Year Player award for his consistent rebounding and defensive work. Often confused on the team sheet with star goalkicker teammate Lindsay White, Len was a contrastingly defensive specialist who never registered a major in his 32 appearances. He departed Kardinia Park after just two seasons to return to Camperdown, where he cemented his legacy as a premiership-winning playing coach.
