Bio
Recruited from North Fitzroy, Len Wigraft developed into a premier wingman for the Maroons, utilising his pace and skilful ball use to drive the team's attack during a successful era. Debuting during the First World War, he quickly cemented his spot in the senior side and notably featured alongside his brother, Alex, in the early stages of his career. Wigraft reached the pinnacle of his playing days in 1922, serving as a key contributor in the premiership victory over Collingwood.
His standing at Brunswick Street was further recognised when he was appointed club captain for the 1924 and 1925 seasons. A consistent performer who regularly represented Victoria in interstate football, Wigraft remained a fixture of the Fitzroy midfield for over a decade. He retired in 1927 as a premiership player, former captain, and one of the club's most reliable servants of the 1920s.
