Bio
Recruited from VFA club Camberwell, Leon Bazin arrived at the Western Oval in 1930 to bolster a Footscray side enduring a difficult period near the bottom of the ladder. Operating primarily as a dashing wingman or half-forward, he was noted for his speed and ability to break lines, providing much-needed energy to the Bulldogs' midfield rotation during a time when wins were scarce. Despite his lively approach and attacking intent, Bazin struggled to secure a permanent spot in the senior side, managing just 13 games across two seasons before his VFL career came to a close. He subsequently returned to the Association, where he extended his playing days with Sandringham.
