Stats
Bio
Recruited from Castlemaine in the Bendigo Football League, Les Bogie was a diminutive utility who briefly trained with Melbourne during the 1934 pre-season before securing a spot on Footscray's list. Standing just 174cm and weighing 63kg, he was a lightweight rover and wingman who managed to string together 25 senior appearances over three years at the Western Oval. Despite showing promise, his continuity was often hampered by injury, most notably during the 1935 campaign, which limited his ability to cement a regular starting role. He eventually departed the VFL to continue his career in the VFA, obtaining a clearance to Yarraville midway through the 1937 season.
