Bio
Hailing from Dunolly in the central Victorian goldfields, Les Jones arrived at the Junction Oval midway through the 1932 season to try his luck in the VFL. He broke into the senior side for a dramatic debut in Round 11, featuring in a nail-biting one-point victory over Fitzroy at Brunswick Street. Jones held his spot in the lineup for three consecutive weeks, playing in a loss to Hawthorn and a high-scoring win over Geelong, but failed to register a goal during his brief tenure. Unable to cement a permanent position in the St Kilda 22, he did not feature at the elite level again after that three-game stint.
