Bio
A diminutive wingman originally from Collingwood Juniors, Les Minto built a reputation as a speedy and reliable ball-carrier across two major leagues. After a solitary appearance for Melbourne in 1905, he returned to the VFA and became a key figure for West Melbourne, featuring in their 1906 premiership side. Following West Melbourne's absorption by North Melbourne, Minto earned a second shot at VFL level with Essendon in 1908, where he immediately cemented a spot in the starting 18. Standing just 168cm, he used his pace to great effect on the wing and played in the club's 1908 Grand Final loss to Carlton before finishing his career back in the Association with Northcote.
