Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Gippsland town of Devon, Les "Mick" Patton was a diminutive rover who spent the majority of his time at Punt Road establishing himself as a stalwart of the reserves. Standing just 168cm, he produced a stunning start to his senior career in the final round of the 1936 season, booting three goals on debut against Essendon to help the Tigers secure a win. However, he was unable to replicate that scoreboard impact the following year, adding just three more senior appearances without another major before drifting out of the side. A determined clubman who also spent time with Burnley and Yarram, Patton later won the Richmond reserves best and fairest in 1939 prior to serving in the Australian Army during the Second World War.
