Bio
Recruited to Carlton via the rookie list, Levi Casboult established himself as a formidable physical presence capable of crashing packs and taking the ball at its highest point. Throughout his time at Princes Park, he developed a reputation as one of the competition's premier contested marks, possessing a pair of vice-like hands that made him a constant aerial threat. However, his career was often defined by the frustration surrounding his erratic set-shot routine, which frequently undermined his dominance in the air. Despite the scrutiny regarding his conversion, he served as a loyal structural pillar for the Blues for over a decade, often pinch-hitting in the ruck when required, before being delisted at the end of the 2021 season.
With his career appearing over, Casboult was handed a lifeline by the Gold Coast Suns to cover a structural deficit following a long-term injury to Ben King. He grasped the opportunity with both hands, enjoying a late-career renaissance in Queensland where he provided veteran leadership and a competitive target for the developing Suns. Although he fell just two games short of the 200-game milestone upon retiring in 2024, Casboult bowed out as a highly respected figure who maximised his physical attributes to carve out a durable career across two states.
