Bio
Lewis Houndsome is an imposing ruck and key forward who has generated plenty of buzz on the talent pathway. Hailing from Hurstbridge, he developed with the Northern Knights in the Coates Talent League and earned a place in the 2026 AFL Academy squad. Houndsome is a proven performer in big games, taking out best afield honours in both the ACC Grand Final and Parade College's Herald Sun Shield victory. He went on to represent Vic Metro at the National Championships and earned an invitation to the national draft combine, impressing with a 76cm vertical jump.
Standing at 198cm, Houndsome uses his physical makeup and presence to challenge defenders. He moves exceptionally well for his size and is known for clunking strong contested marks at the top of his reach. Playing with a distinct physical edge, he is capable of impacting the contest both in the ruck and inside 50. While recruiters are drawn to his mobility and aerial prowess, scouts note he needs to work on imposing himself on games more consistently. As a prominent tall in the draft pool, he is viewed as an exciting prospect for clubs seeking developing key position talent.
