Bio
Recruited from the remote community of Lajamanu in the Northern Territory, Liam Patrick joined the Gold Coast Suns as a mature-age zone selection ahead of the club's inaugural 2011 season. Dubbed the "Lajamanu Lightning," he was a high-excitement small forward renowned for his vertical leap and blistering pace, attributes that instantly made him a cult hero despite his limited exposure at the top level. While he possessed significant raw talent and x-factor, Patrick found it difficult to adapt to the professional conditioning and defensive demands of the AFL, restricting him to sporadic appearances during his three-year tenure. Unable to secure a consistent place in the senior lineup, he was delisted at the conclusion of the 2013 season and returned to local football in the Top End.
