Stats
Bio
Recruited from Sturt with pick 65 in the 1997 National Draft, Linden Stevens faced the daunting task of breaking into a premiership-winning Adelaide lineup. A versatile utility capable of playing across half-back or through the middle, he eventually broke through for a debut in the final round of the 1998 season against West Coast at Subiaco. Remarkably, Stevens retained his spot for the Qualifying Final clash with Melbourne at the MCG the following week, creating the statistical oddity where fifty per cent of his AFL career was played in September. He was omitted following that loss as the Crows regrouped to win their second consecutive flag, and after injury wiped out his entire 1999 season, he was delisted and returned to the Double Blues in the SANFL.
