Bio
Recruited from the Camberwell Baptists, Lindsay Tipping was a utility who arrived at Glenferrie Oval just as the Hawks were building toward a golden era. Standing 183cm, he possessed the size to play key positions or float as a flanker, demonstrating his ball-winning ability with a standout 14-kick performance against Geelong in early 1970. Despite showing promise during his second season, he found it difficult to cement a regular spot in John Kennedy's powerful 1971 premiership lineup, managing just a solitary appearance that year before departing the VFL scene. His time at the top level was brief, remaining a fringe player during a famous period for the club before his premature passing in 1994 at the age of 43.
