Bio
Recruited from Yallourn in the Latrobe Valley, Lloyd Brewer was a physically imposing figure who arrived at Richmond with strong regional football bloodlines. The grandson of influential Gippsland administrator W.H. "Dad" Brewer, Lloyd stood 193cm and weighed 94kg, dimensions that made him a genuine giant among the rucks and key forwards of the early 1950s. He broke into the senior side midway through the 1953 season, utilised for his height and marking power in a supporting role. However, the step up from country football proved challenging, and Brewer managed only three games and a solitary goal before his time at Punt Road came to a close.
