Bio
Recruited from Scottsdale in the NTFA, where he was a premiership player and best and fairest winner in 1968, Lloyd French was a talented Tasmanian import who arrived at Punt Road during one of the club's most successful periods. Standing at 185cm, French was a ruck-rover and centre half-forward known for his strong marking ability and utility value. However, breaking into Tom Hafey’s formidable lineup proved difficult, as he found himself competing for spots against icons like Royce Hart and other stars of the Tigers' golden era. Restricted to just three senior appearances across two seasons, he eventually departed for the VFA, spending three years with Port Melbourne before returning to country football with Colac.
