Overlooked in the 2023 National Draft, Logan Evans took a unique pathway to the elite level, joining Port Adelaide with pick 12 in the 2024 Mid-Season Draft. The Norwood product had already impressed the club while playing for the Power’s SANFL side as a top-up player, a convenient arrangement that allowed him to seamlessly transition into the senior list. A composed general defender characterised by his intercept marking and precise ball use, Evans defied the typical adjustment period for mid-year recruits by immediately locking down a position in the starting 22. He played an integral role during the club's 2024 finals series in his debut season and has since established himself as a poised and reliable fixture in the Power's defensive unit.
