Bio
A Subiaco recruit who became West Australian football royalty, Lou Daily produced one of the most peculiar statistical anomalies in VFL history. After a quiet season with Collingwood in 1933, he crossed to Geelong and opened his account with a stunning ten-goal haul on club debut against St Kilda. Despite this display as a spearhead, Daily was naturally a dashing fullback renowned for his high marking and booming drop-kicks that could travel half the length of the ground. He returned to the WAFL after just one season at Corio Bay, solidifying his legacy as a premier defender by winning the 1935 Sandover Medal and three consecutive best and fairest awards with the Lions.
