Bio
Recruited from the North Ballarat Rebels, Louis Herbert was a Warrnambool native who joined the Gold Coast Suns via the 2014 Rookie Draft. A versatile swingman standing 188cm, he originally garnered attention as a forward in the juniors before transitioning into an intercepting half-back flanker to improve his draftability. Herbert was known for his clean hands and ability to read the play, traits that earned him a senior elevation late in 2014 where he played three consecutive matches, including a debut in the QClash against Brisbane. Despite this promising start, he was unable to crack the Suns' lineup throughout the entire 2015 season and was subsequently delisted.
