Lucas Robinson

Lucas Robinson is a promising prospect tied to Fremantle through its Next Generation Academy, qualifying via his father's Zimbabwean heritage. Hailing from Tarin Rock, he played junior football for the Lake Grace-Pingrup Bombers and Hale School, where he won an Alcock Cup, before joining South Fremantle. Although listed as a key defender, Robinson has spent his draft year primarily as a big-bodied inside midfielder. He debuted at WAFL league level in the opening round of 2026, impressing against Swan Districts and holding his spot in the senior side. He also represented Western Australia at the National Championships, delivering a standout performance in a victory over South Australia.

Known as a midfield bull who thrives at the contest, Robinson possesses clean hands at ground level and holds his own aerially. Scouts have praised his stoppage craft and ability to match it with senior bodies, though they note he needs to work on his speed and endurance. Regarded as a potential early selection and a first-round prospect, Robinson earned an invitation to the state draft combine. With Fremantle expected to match any bid, he is widely tipped to become a Docker.
