Bio
Recruited from Xavier College, Luke "Rhino" O'Sullivan became a cult figure at Carlton during a decade-long career defined by resilience in the face of persistent injury setbacks. A bustling left-footed half-forward who attacked the contest with ferocious intensity, O'Sullivan's value to the Blues often exceeded his raw statistical output, as he provided aggression and spark whenever his body allowed him to take the field. His most infamous setback occurred in 1993, when he missed the entire season after suffering a serious knee injury caused by shifting turf at Waverley Park. Although he managed just 62 games over ten seasons and missed selection for the 1995 Grand Final, O'Sullivan remained a beloved clubman and a symbol of wholehearted effort until his retirement in 1997.
