Bio
Recruited from Woodville-West Torrens with pick 31 in the 2013 National Draft, Malcolm Karpany was a silky small forward and midfielder known for his pace and precise left-foot kicking. Despite his high ceiling, he found it difficult to cement a spot in West Coast's senior lineup, often sitting behind established forwards like Mark LeCras and Jamie Cripps in the pecking order while developing in the WAFL. He showed a significant glimpse of his potential in 2017 with a three-goal performance against the Western Bulldogs, but recurring injuries and form struggles prevented him from building momentum. After five seasons on the list and limited senior opportunities, Karpany was delisted at the end of 2018 and subsequently returned to South Australia to continue his career in the SANFL.
