Teams

Recruited from North Ballarat, Malcolm Scott was a prolific full-forward who made an immediate impact upon his arrival at St Kilda in 1979. A natural goalkicker with a high strike rate, he averaged nearly three goals a game during his brief stint at Moorabbin, including a career-high haul of six, but managed only 10 senior appearances over two seasons before returning to the Ballarat Football League. He established himself as a country football legend in the years that followed, winning premierships and league goalkicking titles, before making a surprise return to the VFL five years later for a solitary game with the Sydney Swans in 1985. Outside of his footballing exploits, Scott served as a member of the police force and remained a celebrated figure in the Ballarat region until he passed away in 2017.
