Bio
Recruited from the Geelong Falcons with pick 38 in the 1997 National Draft, Marc Woolnough arrived at Kardinia Park with a strong pedigree as the grandson of Geelong Team of the Century member Michael Woolnough. A tall utility capable of playing key position roles in defence or attack, his professional career was severely curtailed by chronic injury issues, most notably knee reconstructions that wiped out entire seasons of his development. Despite the club showing considerable patience by retaining him on the list for six years, Woolnough was unable to gain a consistent run at senior level, managing just a handful of games before eventually being delisted at the conclusion of the 2003 season.
