Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons and Assumption College, Marcus Baldwin was a tall key forward originally selected by Hawthorn with pick 35 in the 1997 National Draft. He spent two seasons on the list at Glenferrie Oval without breaking into the senior side before being delisted and thrown a lifeline by Geelong in the 2000 Rookie Draft. Standing at 196cm, Baldwin produced one of the more memorable introductions to league football, notably booting three goals with his first three kicks. Despite this electric start, he was unable to cement a permanent spot in the Cats' lineup, playing just five games over two seasons before his AFL career concluded.
