Bio
Recruited from North Hobart via the Tassie Mariners, Marcus Davies joined Carlton after being selected with pick 43 in the 2009 National Draft. A combative defender who approached the contest with aggression, Davies was typically tasked with shutting down small to medium forwards while providing physical presence in the back half. Despite his competitive nature, he found it difficult to cement a regular spot in a Blues defence often anchored by experienced rebounding veterans. After managing just 17 games across four seasons on the list, Davies was unable to secure a contract extension and was delisted at the conclusion of the 2013 season.
