Bio
Recruited from Montmorency in the Diamond Valley Football League, Mark Amos was a solidly built big man who joined Carlton during a golden era for the club. Standing 189cm, he faced the difficult task of breaking into a premiership-calibre lineup, managing just six senior games across two seasons while playing largely as a depth player. Despite finding senior opportunities limited, he demonstrated his quality at the lower level by claiming the Carlton reserves Best and Fairest award in 1970. He transferred to Fitzroy for the 1972 season in search of regular football, but added just one more game to his tally—a solitary appearance that came against his former teammates, where he drifted forward to kick the only goal of his VFL career.
