Bio
Recruited from St Albans in the club's western recruiting zone, Mark Cullen was a handy utility player who spent six seasons battling for a permanent spot at the Western Oval. Standing 180cm, he primarily operated as a rotating midfielder and forward, capable of hitting the scoreboard when given the opportunity, evidenced by his respectable return of 25 goals from 35 games. Despite showing promise during the late 1980s under Mick Malthouse, he struggled to cement a regular place in the senior lineup, often finding himself on the fringe of the best 22. Seeking a fresh start after the 1991 season, he moved to Essendon for the 1992 campaign but was unable to break into the powerful Bombers side, eventually departing the league without adding to his game tally.
